Dr. Dasha Lundy is serving her first term as the District 1 Commissioner for the Knox County Commission. Dr. Lundy is a visionary leader as a servant leader and community advocate. She was born and raised in East Knoxville and still calls it home. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Chemistry from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and a Master’s and Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Tennessee State University and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, respectively. She is active with the Burlington Residents Association (Past President), Vice-Chair of the Board of Trustees for Knoxville College, Former Commissioner for the City of Knoxville Historic Zoning Commission, Board Member of the East Tennessee Community Design Center, and Board Member of the East Knoxville Business and Professional Association. In 2019, Dr. Lundy was recognized by the Young Professionals of Knoxville as an Outstanding Young Professional. She is passionate about education, community development, and economic development. Dr. Lundy’s vision is for low-income communities to have access and opportunity to become sustainable.
